Swim Ireland is the National Governing Body (NGB) for Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and associated Aquatic Disciplines on the island of Ireland. Swim Ireland’s Head Office is based at Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 with circa 60 employees. Role and Reporting Structure
We are now seeking a passionate and qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher to deliver high-quality swimming instruction to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes water confidence, skill development, and a lifelong love of swimming.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised pool environment.
· Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons in line with Swim Ireland guidelines.
· Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
· Monitor and assess swimmer progress, providing feedback to participants and parents/guardians.
· Ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers at all times.
· Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
· Set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions.
· Promote positive behaviour and encourage swimmer confidence and enjoyment.
Education and Experience
· Relevant Swimming Teaching qualifications.
· Current Safeguarding and First Aid certification desired but not essential.
· Experience teaching children and/or adults in a swimming environment.
· Knowledge of water safety and emergency procedures.
Training and upskilling will be provided by Swim Ireland if required.

Essential Requirements
· Be eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.

Remuneration and Location
· The package will include a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please note that this role includes evenings and weekends.
· Position Tenure: Fixed term full-time contract.
· Position Location: Sean Mac Dermott Street Pool, Sean Mac Dermott Street Lower, Mountjoy, Dublin.
Appointment will be made subject to satisfactory Safeguarding, vetting requirements and reference checks.
